The French bulldogs are naturally born this way they are dogs that are found around humans and they want to be in their laps or somewhere close to their bodies. So some of the reasons why the French bulldogs are not cuddling and are facing some kind of issue are listed below:-

1. Old age

One of the most common reasons is old age when the French bulldogs become old they do not want too much interference or cuddling from their owners they want to be the way they are and do not want any kind of disturbance. They want to be left alone and independent and also at this age they face a lot of health issues because of which they go through lots of pains and aches and that is why they do not feel like cuddling or getting cuddled.

2. Sick or injured

When the French bulldog is sick or injured then also the French bulldog does not like to get cuddled because they do not have the energy or they are going through some sort of pain and in such conditions, you will notice that they want to be left alone and as an owner, you need to help them out so that they can get well soon and live a healthy life again.

3. Personality

Sometimes it is the personality of the French bulldog that they do not like to get cuddled and this is a very rare chance that they do not like to get cuddled but still there is a chance that the French bulldog is born this way and they do not want to get cuddled. So in this case you cannot do anything and have to just live with the fact that your French bulldog does not like to be cuddled.

4. Stubborn nature

The French bulldogs are very stubborn in nature and when they want that you should listen to them or you have not done what they want you to do then they will show their stubborn attitude and they will not let you cuddle them because they are stubborn in nature because of which they are behaving in this way.

5. Not in the mood

Sometimes the French bulldogs are not in the mood of being cuddled which is why you will notice that they will not let you touch them or cuddle them because the simple reason that they are not in the mood and they do not like to get cuddled when they are not in the mood of doing so.

By going through these reasons you will be able to understand that there are times that the French bulldog will not let you cuddle and you need to understand them in such times and not force cuddle them because they do not like it.

You just need to give them their personal time and with time they will be fine and will behave the way they usually do. So make sure that you are able to understand your French bulldogs and then provide them with whatever they need to live a happy and healthy life.
