But when the Afghan hound is overweight you should increase these activities so that they are able to lose their weight. You should increase the exercises so you can burn lots of calories that are stored in your body as fats.

The physical activities in which you can indulge your Afghan hound should be like ball games, Frisbee games, fast running, slow running, swimming in shallow water bodies, etc. These activities will help your Afghan hound to lose weight and also remember you have to maintain a proper schedule for your dog so that they should be able to follow it on a regular basis.

2. Proper diet plan

A proper diet plan is one of the major steps in controlling the weight of an Afghan hound. As a responsible owner, you should be aware of the type of food, the quality, and even the quantity of the food.

This is done so that you are able to provide your Afghan hound with the best of everything and also so that you can control the calorie intake of your Afghan hound. The control in calorie intake will directly lead to controlling the weight of your Afghan hound. In short, you should be able to provide your Afghan hound with a balanced diet so that there is no excess intake of calories which will lead to overweight in them.
