Cauliflower is one of the most common vegetables that is used in households and is often regarded as very healthy. There is a part of cauliflower that we usually throw away and is regarded to be better than the cauliflower itself. It is seen that the cauliflower is safe for the bearded dragon if you feed for about 6-10 grams of it once a month.

Is cauliflower suitable for Bearded Dragons?

It is very difficult to know which foods are healthy for your bearded dragons and which are not before you feed anything to your pet. Since cauliflower is healthy for us therefore we feel that it might also be healthy for bearded dragons but this is not the case.

The needs and nutrition requirements of the bearded dragons are different as compared to that ours. So it means that the food that looks healthy might even cause unexpected health issues.

The bearded dragons can eat cauliflower but this should be given to them occasionally and not on a regular basis. This is because cauliflower contains an unbalanced calcium ratio and amounts of other nutrients.   If you are thinking of giving your pet the greens and vegetables which offer them better nutrients then you should surely consider the option of dandelion greens. Cauliflower is safe only if it is fed t the bearded dragons in small amounts and not daily. Moreover, bearded dragons would themselves prefer other veggies as compared to the cauliflower.

Can baby bearded dragon Eat Cauliflower?

The owners who have a baby bearded dragon would want to know if they can feed their baby bearded dragon cauliflower or not.

It is seen that technically cauliflower can be fed to the baby birdies but it is recommended that the cauliflower should not be included in the menu. This is because the cauliflower has low calcium to phosphorous ratio and during the first 12 months of the growth period, it is important that high-quality food is given to the bearded dragons. This will only be possible if a balanced diet is given along with a rich calcium diet.

The baby bearded dragons have very small stomachs and every food that is given to them might support their growth. Also, cauliflower does not contribute much and helps your beardie grow enough as it can grow with the greens and the other veggies. For only this reason, it is recommended that the owners concentrate on dandelion greens and mustard greens.

Also, before feeding anything it is important that the owners must know about the nutrition and healthy nature of the veggie or greens.

How much cauliflower can be given to bearded dragon?

In the instance of feeding cauliflower very small quantities should be fed, including about 13grams once a month.

This means that it is not to be included in the daily meals of the bearded dragon. So, while giving meals you can add collard greens, beet greens, turnip greens, bell peppers, dandelion, and many more.

Can bearded dragons eat greens of cauliflower?

The outer leaves are referred to as the greens and are edible. But most people throw these away. But you can feed these to your beardie and these do not contain the Goitrogens that are present in the cauliflower head.

Also, the cauliflower leaves are regarded to be rich in calcium as well as iron. These are the most important minerals which need to be obtained by the bearded dragon through their diet.

The cauliflower greens are one of the best sources of calcium that is obtained through the vegetables. In about 100g serving there is about 600mg of calcium. Also, anything that is dark as well as leafy might be a good source for the diet. So adding some of these leaves can be very beneficial for the diet.
