Why to take special care of the baby chameleons?

Habitat
The first thing you need to worry is about the habitat of the baby chameleon and you need to be very particular about their habitat and make sure you provide them with the prefect habitat that has high humidity, small space and appropriate temperature and light. Also make sure to provide a quality and best substrate.
Temperature
The temperature inside the habitat for the baby chameleon should be perfect so that they can survive and the temperature requirement for the baby chameleon is same as the adult chameleon and that is 72 degrees to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Even if there is any need of installing any extra heating lamps, do that as the appropriate temperature is very important for the baby chameleon for the surviving purpose.
Space
The baby chameleons are small in size and also move slowly so they do not need much space to live or to stay as compared to adult chameleons, so get an appropriate for these baby chameleons and they do not need much large spaces.
Humidity
The baby chameleons need to have high humidity in order to survive, otherwise they will start getting sick and also there will be a chance of respiratory infection to develop which can be very deadly for them so they need high humidity. For this you need to do regular misting inside the tank or bring the humidifiers to maintain the high humidity levels in their enclosures.
Also keep more and more water inside the tank of the baby chameleons and also do lots of spraying inside the tank. It is recommended to keep the relative humidity at 60% for the baby chameleons and it should not cross more than 75%, so be careful with the humidity level inside the tanks of the baby chameleons and they need humidity level higher than the adult chameleons.
Lighting
The baby chameleons need appropriate lightings in their enclosures like the adults do. They need a consistent UVB source for the survival and you can get the best UVB lights for that purpose. The UVB helps them to provide them with Vitamin D3 which further leads to absorption of calcium that is quite essential for their body and it prevents them from metabolic bone disease and that is why UVB lighting is important for the baby chameleons.
So you need to install the UVB bulbs in their enclosure and keep these lights on for at least 12 hours per day and after that turn these lights off. Do not forget to turn these light off as it is important to simulate the day-night cycle and also their bodies need rest.
Diet
The baby chameleons requires insects but you need to make sure that the insect should not be larger than the baby chameleon and the best option for them is the pinhead crickets and the hydei fruit flies.
The baby chameleons should be fed at least twice in a day and also the calcium dusting should be supplemented in their diet. Feed them with lots of insects at the same time and they will stop eating whenever they will be full.

The enclosure decorative plants
The baby chameleons also needs various things or decorative plants inside their enclosure to climb or to hide like the adult chameleons. You can use plants in order to give the resemblance to their natural habitat and you can use the mixture of both live and fake plants. Cohabitation
As we know that the chameleons are territorial in nature and they like to own their space so it is not recommended to keep more than one adult chameleon in a single enclosure because they can attack each other.
Though they will not create any problem or they will not attack the baby chameleon but once they will be 3 months old it is better to remove them from the same enclosure to the new one for their safety. So be careful about the cohabitation of the baby chameleon and there is no harm caused to them inside the enclosures by the adult chameleons and do not be careless in such situations.
