The ball python is an amazing reptile and they are easy to tame and control. But still, they need care and attention from their owners inside their captivity as they are dependent on their owners for most of the things, so you should be very particular about their needs.

The ball pythons are active during the night when you are sleeping so there is a chance that they can escape from your house at night when you are not observing them.

In order to find a lost ball python, you need to take several steps so that the finding process becomes easy. You need to follow the steps as given below in order to find the lost ball python:

  1. The first thing you need to do is that do not panic. As that will lead you to not think clearly and you will not be able to find the ball python with panic in your behaviour. As there are chances that your ball python might have hid in the dark so that they can rest over there, so you need clarity in your mind in order to find them. Be calm and then start the searching process. Also if you will panic then you will be creating a disturbance in your home and in this situation, even the snake will get scared and will try to hide somewhere away from you.
  2. If you are having other pets inside the house try to keep them in a safe place especially away from those places where you know that your snake might be present. So that there is no threat to any animal the lost one or the present one.
  3. You should also let your neighbours know about the missing ball python. The reason is that your neighbours can also help you to find the missing snake and there can also be chances that your snake might have crawled into your neighbour’s house. So making them aware of this will also help a lot. Also, this will ensure that there is no problem caused to anyone. So make everyone around in the neighbourhood aware of the lost ball python.
  4. A most important step is to search the house properly because the ball python may have hidden somewhere inside the house. So be careful while you are searching for the ball python at your place. Another thing is to search your house in a particular manner so that you can find the ball python as soon as possible without any hassle or panic.

These are the various steps that need to be followed so that the ball python can be found easily inside the house without much hassle and problem. You just need to find the ball python in a particular method so that you do not get confused and all messed up.

Searching for house

You need to search the house in a proper manner to make the search operation easy, proper and in methodical way. The steps that needed to be followed are as follows:-

  1. First of all search for the ball python in a place where you have lost saw it and then slowly move to the places where you expect it to go or where you will find an opening from where the snake has escaped.
  2. You should check the room properly where you have kept the tank of the ball python as there are chances that the ball python may be hiding in someplace inside that room only.
  3. Make sure that you block all the openings, cracks or any place where there are chances of the ball python to escape from the house.
  4. The ball pythons are usually found in dark places and not in places where there is light and they are usually found behind the furniture where it is dark. Also, the ball python can be found in some places where they were found last time. The ball python usually goes to the same hiding spot.
  5. Also once again do check the tank properly because there are chances that the ball python can be found in the tank or they may have returned to their enclosures. Also, they can be hiding inside their enclosure so that no one can find them or disturb them.
  6. When you have looked at every corner, shelf, place or every outlet in the house from where your ball python may have escaped or can be found, so now it is time to search for your snake outside the house they can be found outside in the garden or somewhere near the house.

Find A Lost Ball-Python

These are the various steps through which you can find your lost ball python inside the house in a proper and methodical manner so that you do not have to face any sort of problem while searching for them. But the main thing while you are searching for the ball python is that you have to stay calm and also you should follow a proper method so that you can get positive results and you can easily and within no time find the lost ball python.

Note: The most important thing is not to keep your enclosure close because there are chances that your ball python may come back to their enclosure as they are comfortable over there. So it is recommended that their enclosures should be kept open when they are found missing. If the ball python does not like climbing so you keep your enclosure on the ground so that they can comfortably slither back to their enclosure and are not having any sort of problem in this.

Traps

You can even set up traps for the ball python so that if the ball python has escaped from the house they can be caught in the trap and the trap should not be hurtful for the ball python so that they can easily get caught without any issue or pain.

The ball python is easy to tame but sometimes they become moody so in such cases, they try to escape from their enclosures and for preventing this you need to understand the behaviour of the ball python properly so that you do not have to face any such conditions.

You should be quite observant and also try to build a bond with your pet snake so that there is no problem created while you are taking care of your ball python. Enjoy every moment with them and also provide them with everything that they want so that they live a happy and satisfied life inside the enclosure. As you know that your ball python is completely dependent upon you for everything they need.

So if such a situations rises where the ball python has escaped just be calm and do not panic only then you will be able to handle the situation and also will find the missing ball python easily. The ball python can be found easily with your calmness and also if you will follow a proper method that is mentioned above in this article.
