The Afghan hound is a dog that has outstanding features and is a beautiful-looking dog and that is the reason it is also a show dog.   2. The Afghan hound also drools a lot when they have been poisoned and this can happen due to many reasons.
  3. When the Afghan hound is suffering from some sort of stomach problem they also drool a lot and they can suffer from diseases like nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and upset stomach where they are not able to digest anything.
  4. The Afghan hound is having oral or dental issues like infection, lesions, irritations, gingivitis, etc. and this leads to too much drooling in your Afghan hound.
  5. When there are symptoms of fever in your dog and even when they are suffering from rabies then also too much drooling occurs in your Afghan hound.

When your Afghan hound is drooling a lot you need to take the following measures so that you can overcome the situation nicely without much hassle:-

  1. Firstly you should know the reason why your Afghan hound is over drooling or so much drooling is happening in them. As then only you will understand what is the problem and the cure for this situation and then only you will be able to take appropriate steps.
  2. Hyper-salivation can occur due to various reasons take care of the food that you are feeding them and also the nutrition that is given to them in the form of food should be high.
  3. You need to check the temperature of the Afghan hound so that you will come to know whether they are suffering from fever or not. You need to take the temperature of the Afghan hound every hour and check is there any sort of change in their temperature or not.
  4. When the temperature is above 39 degrees Celsius you need to take your dog to the vet as they will understand the situation better and also proper medication to them will be given.
  5. Do check the heart rhythm of your Afghan hound in order to see what is wrong with them and why they are drooling so much.
  6. When you will notice that the situation is out of your control and you are not able to do anything and the Afghan hound is not feeling good then it is recommended to take them to the vet so that proper care should be given to them and also they can be taken out of this situations as soon as possible.

These are the various steps that you need to follow when your Afghan hound is drooling away too much and while doing so make sure that you take care of your dog nicely and you need to take them to the vet if needed.
