One advantage of feeding strawberries to your pet would be that if your pet is not eating food, then you can encourage your beardie by feeding one or two strawberries.

As these are sweet, and easily available therefore the owners cab readily feed them to their pet.

Concerns of feeding strawberries?

Strawberries are considered to be one of the best fruits which can be fed to the Bearded dragons. But they should be fed only in small amounts and occasionally.

If you feed your pet with strawberries daily or regularly then it might affect their health. Let us see what are these concerns:

Calcium to phosphorus ratio

Strawberries have a very high calcium to phosphorus ratio. As in the bearded dragons should have more calcium as compared to the phosphorus. And if it is not so then the bearded dragon can suffer from painful illness like the MBD.

Also, the VCA hospitals show that the bearded dragon should be given a diet that is rich in calcium and if it is not available in the diet then you need to give supplements for it.

You need to give your bearded dragon the highest quality diet which is rich in calcium and it us very important for them.

Sugar content

As other fruits strawberries also contains rich amount of sugar and this is not safe for the bearded dragon.

If it is consumed in large amounts then it can affect the health of your bearded dragon.

If too much sugar is consumed at once then it can lead to digestion problems or even diarrhea. These result to the dehydration problem.

Other things to consider

The concern with feeding strawberries to your pet will be that it does not have as many nutrients and minerals that the greens can provide.

Also, the stomach of these pets is very small and if you feed them such foods which do not provide enough nutrients then it can affect their health.

The baby bearded dragons grow at a fast rate and it is very important that you feed them the right amount of food as every meal counts for them and makes them healthy.

Conclusion

Thus, you can feed your pet with strawberries but in small amounts.
