Crested gecko is sleeping a lot

1. Nocturnal in nature
The crested geckos are nocturnal in nature which means they sleep during the day and they are active during the night where they feed at this time, they socialize and also move here and there during the dark hours of the day.
This nocturnal nature is also visible in the eyes of the crested gecko and because of this behaviour, it seems that they sleep most of the time. As we humans are active during the day time and these lizards are active at night so due to the difference in the activity cycle, it seems that the crested gecko sleeps a lot.
2. Stressed crested gecko
The crested gecko is stressed and hiding and that is also the reason that these crested geckos sleep a lot. When they are stressed they do not show much activity and also they do not feel like doing anything, instead, they sleep a lot.

If you will keep the bright light during the night time they will feel that it is light outside and it is not time to go out and this will definitely disrupt their cycle of activity.

Make sure that if there is any sort of problem with the tank because that can also make your crested gecko sleep or rest for most of the time if they are not comfortable inside the tank and are not enjoying their time.
Check for the problems like temperature change, humidity level, proper lighting, heat, etc. Look for the issue and try to fix it as fast as possible. So that they do not have to sleep most of the time inside their tank. You need to check the tank properly and also notice that the crested gecko is not facing any sort of problem inside the tank and are enjoying their stay inside it. Otherwise, they will prefer to sleep most of the time rather than being active.
