1. Pruinosus

The Pruinosus is a soft-bodied isopod that is rich in calcium and also they are not only used as cleaners but also as the feeders for the crested gecko. They are easy to eat or digest which is a healthy diet for your crested gecko. The Pruinosus are larger in size as compared to other species of isopods. The Pruinosus are available in 4 colors and pattern variations. They are safe for the crested gecko but for fragile crested geckos, they are not safe especially the adult isopods Pruinosus. They are one of the large species of isopods that are safe for the crested gecko and as such do not harm them.

2. Dwarf white isopods

The dwarf white isopods are one of the most preferred species of isopods because of their docile nature. They are all female species and are considered the best for the crested geckos. They are so popular among the owners of the crested gecko because they are known as good cleaners and also they populate the tank easily and at a faster pace. The dwarf white isopods are efficient cleaners that readily consume the waste inside the crested gecko tank. Another reason they are preferred because they are harmless to the crested gecko. They are in the form of powders and also they thrive in a 75% moist closure and also 25% dry closure but they will do well in all sorts of environments. The ventilation is moderate-high for them to thrive and create a healthy environment inside the tank of the crested gecko. They easily consume the waste so that is why the environment is clean inside the tank. They are one of the best isopods for the crested gecko.

6. Whiteout

The white-out isopod is a fast reproducing isopod and also they can thrive in any sort of environment and they are medium-sized and also that is why they can be consumed by smaller animals also and even the crested gecko prefers them as food also. They need low- moderate ventilation to thrive inside the terrarium and also you do need to pay much attention to them because they reproduce at a fast pace. They consume the waste inside the crested gecko’s terrarium, which is why they are good cleaners. So the white out is good for the terrarium of the crested gecko.
